Huawei has launched its new mid-budget smartphone Honor 8X in India today. The Honor 8X has been priced at Rs 14,999 for 4GB+64GB, Rs 16,999 6GB+64GB and Rs 18,999 for 6GB+128GB variant.

The Honor 8X will be competing with smartphones like Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, Xiaomi Mi A2, and Motorola One Power among other phones.

The phone features a 16 MP front camera and 20MP+2MP AI-powered Dual-lens rear camera. "AI camera on Honor 8X recognises 22 different categories and 500 different scenarios with Scene Recognition," said the company.
 

The dual-SIM phone has dedicated slots for two SIMs and Memory card. The storage can be expanded up to 528GB. 

The smartphone sports a 6.5-inch full-HD Plus screen, HiSilicon Kirin 710 chipset and a 3750 mAh battery. 

The Honor claimed that the phone is equipped with an Elevator Mode to reconnects to 4G networks within 3 Seconds in case of loss of connectivity. It also has a TUV Rheinland Certification for Eye Protection. 

The Honor 8X comes in three colours - Red, Blue and Black.

The Honor 8X is an Amazon exclusive smartphone and will go on sale starting October 24.
