Honor 200 Series Launch in India: Honor has collaborated with Studio Harcourt, a portrait photography house, to co-engineer the Honor AI Portrait Engine for the launch of Honor 200 Series in India.

Combining Studio Harcourt’s expertise and Honor’s AI and hardware, the Honor 200 series offers studio-level portrait photography on smartphones.

The HONOR 200 Pro has a triple back camera setup: a 50MP portrait main camera with an H9000 sensor, a 50MP telephoto camera with a Sony IMX 856 sensor, and a 12MP ultra-wide and macro camera. The HONOR 200 has similar specs, except the 50MP portrait main camera is equipped with a 1/1.56-inch Sony IMX906 large sensor and OIS.

The HONOR 200 Pro has a dual front camera setup: a 50MP portrait selfie camera with a f/2.1 aperture, and a second sensor for adjusting colour temperatures suitable for Indian skin tones. Both front and back cameras support 4K video recording, and the device includes a pro video mode.

Triple camera setup

The HONOR 200 Pro features a 50MP portrait main Camera with a 1/1.3-inch H9000 sensor, 4-in-1 pixel binning technology, optical image stabilization (OIS), electronic image stabilization (EIS), and a shape memory alloy (SMA) actuator. It also includes a 50MP telephoto camera with 2.5x optical zoom and a 12MP ultra-wide angle lens. The HONOR 200 has a 1/1.56-inch sony IMX906 large sensor with OIS, 4-in-1 pixel binning technology, a 50MP telephoto camera with a Sony IMX856 sensor, and an f/1.95 aperture.

HONOR AI portrait engine

The HONOR 200 Series uses the AI-enhanced HONOR AI portrait engine, developed with Studio Harcourt. This technology integrates Harcourt’s lighting and shadow techniques for studio-level portrait photography. The engine evaluates lighting, skin color, color temperatures, and scene composition, leveraging a light and shadow database for optimal exposure settings. It uses large sensors and an AI neural network for image processing to produce high-quality images with a natural bokeh effect.

The AI Stereo-based bokeh algorithm utilizes main and ultra-wide lenses for zoom ranges from 1x to 2x and main and telephoto lenses for 2.5x zoom, providing precise depth calculation. The engine also includes AI-powered portrait detail enhancement for realistic hair details and facial features.

The HONOR 200 Pro includes three portrait modes: Harcourt vibrant, harcourt color, and harcourt classic.
