HMD enters Indian smartphone market with Crest, Crest Max - Details
The launch of HMD Crest and HMD Crest Max marks the company's first venture into the Indian smartphone market.
HMD has announced the launch of its latest smartphones, the HMD Crest and HMD Crest Max. These new models feature a 50MP selfie camera that captures all the details and the selfie camera is enhanced with features like "Hands Free Selfie," which uses gestures for easy selfies, as well as tone control and Beautify options for natural-looking photos. Additionally, the camera offers slow-motion and AI Super Portrait modes for stunning self-portraits, a Flash shot feature for capturing moving subjects, and a Tripod Mode for breathtaking long-exposure photography.
The HMD Crest is equipped with a 50MP selfie camera and a 50MP dual AI rear camera, ensuring every moment is captured in stunning detail. The HMD Crest Max, on the other hand, features a 64MP main camera, a 5MP ultra-wide lens, a 2MP macro lens, and a 50MP selfie camera, offering an advanced camera system for photography enthusiasts.
Both models come with a vibrant 6.67" FHD+ OLED display, perfect for immersive entertainment and social media experiences. They are powered by a 5000mAh battery supporting 800 charging cycles and 33W fast charging, ensuring long-lasting performance. The HMD Crest Max boasts 16GB RAM (8GB fixed + 8GB virtual) and 256GB storage, while the HMD Crest has 12GB RAM (6GB fixed + 6GB virtual) and 128GB storage, providing ample space for apps, photos, and media.
The smartphones are powered by the Unisoc T760 5G, 6nm, Octa-core processor with an Antutu Score of over 500,000. They also introduce Repairability 1.0, simplifying the replacement of the back panel, battery, display, and charging port to extend the device lifespan and reduce e-waste.
Both models run on Android 14, offering users the latest features and security updates from Google. The HMD Crest is priced at INR 14,499, and the HMD Crest Max at INR 16,499, with special prices of INR 12,999 and INR 14,999, respectively, during the Great Freedom sale on Amazon Specials.
The HMD Crest will be available in Midnight Blue, Royal Pink, and Lush Lilac, while the HMD Crest Max will come in Deep Purple, Royal Pink, and Aqua Green.
