Users are required to activate their calling and messaging apps in Gemini to use this feature. Currently, users are only allowed to interact with the assistant for tasks such as responding to queries, adding calendar events, and setting reminders even when the device is locked.

Although Google has not yet confirmed the official rollout of this feature, the functionality to make calls or send messages is expected to be available in the upcoming months.

In other related developments, Google Chrome is set to integrate a new feature that will enable users to check the trustworthiness of any website. According to a social media post on X, Google is currently working on a new AI-powered feature for Chrome called “Store reviews”. The feature will assist users with a summary of reviews from independent websites such as Scam Advisor, Trust Pilot, and more.

The feature will be useful for users visiting an unknown or new website and seeking to assess its credibility. This feature will seamlessly allow users to go through multiple review websites to assess the website’s overall reputation, ultimately saving a considerable amount of time.

Additionally, Google is also bringing a slew of new AI features, which include AI-powered protection. This feature will offer real-time protection against websites that can be potentially dangerous.
