Google’s next flagship smartphone, the Google Pixel 9 Pro, will go on sale on October 17. The device is expected to make waves in the already competitive flagship segment, especially following the launch of the iPhone 16 series in September. The variant with 16GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage has been priced at Rs 1,09,990.
 
While the build-up to its launch has been intensifying in the past few months, leaks and rumours about the Google Pixel 9 Pro’s specifications have been surfacing on social media.

The Google Pixel 9 Pro will sport a 6.3-inch 1.5K LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 3000 nits. The smartphone is set to ensure smooth multimedia experience with premium features. The display will be protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2. Powered by the Tensor G4 chipset, the device will boast an advanced triple camera setup, consisting of a 50MP primary lens, a 48MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 48MP telephoto lens. For selfies, there will be a 42MP camera will be included.

The smartphone will run on Android 14 and is slated to receive at least seven years of Android updates, including Pixel Drops and security patches.

Earlier in August, Google unveiled its Pixel 9 series, which includes the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and the premium Pixel 9 Pro XL.  While Pixel 9 and Pro XL were made available immediately, Pixel 9 Pro will hit the market almost two months later in October.
