Google Pixel 8 launch event live streaming: When and where to watch, check date and timing details

The much awaited Google Pixel 8 series smartphones are expected to be officially launched at the ‘Made by Google 2023’ event on Wednesday, October 4.  The products expected to steal the spotlight include Google Pixel 8, Pixel 8 Pro and Pixel Watch 2.

The tech giant is also expected to release Android 14 at the October 4 event.  

When and where to watch Google Pixel 8 launch event

The tech enthusiasts worldwide are eagerly waiting for the launch event of Google Pixel 8 series. The ‘Made by Google’ event can be watched from any part of the world once the event starts in New York on Wednesday. The event is scheduled to start at 10 am ET (7.30 pm IST).

The Google Pixel 8 series launch and other updates can be tracked online as the event will be live streamed on YouTube. All updates about the event will also be available live on Google website.

Expected product launches at 'Made by Google 2023' event

Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro: Among the products lined up for launch, Google's Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro take center stage. These models are expected to bring significant upgrades compared to their predecessors, the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro. Both models are expected to receive substantial camera upgrades along with AI-based editing features, including DSLR-style controls and Magic Editor.

Official prices for the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro are still unknown. However, rumours indicate the starting price for the Pixel 8 is expected to be approximately $699 (Rs 58,100), while the price of Pixel 8 Pro may start at around $999 (Rs 83,000). Colour options for the Pixel 8 are expected to include black, grey, and pink, while the Pixel 8 Pro may come in black matte, porcelain, and sky blue variants.

Pixel Watch 2: The Google Pixel Watch 2 is said to be equipped with enhanced health tracking features. The watch would feature a sleek design and will allow one to track their heart rate while also taking a step forward towards stress management. The tech giant is expected to maintain the pricing strategy similar to the first-gen Pixel Watch and price the latest version at $349.99 (approx. Rs 29,100)

Pixel buds in new colours: Google is anticipated to introduce new colours for Pixel Buds Pro to complement the new Pixel series' devices. The expected colour variants include sky blue and porcelain, which are similar to the expected colour options for Pixel 8 Pro.

Android 14: The tech giant may also roll out the latest version of Android with the Pixel 8 series launch. The Android 14 version could be equipped with features like AI-generated wallpapers, passkeys, and improved stylus experience.
