Google Gemini launches ask about this screen for Android, Note Taking tools on Google Meet - Check Details
Apart from Android devices, Gemini will also be incorporated into Google Meet for their new feature known as Take Notes for Me for briefing meetings.
Google Gemini has launched two new tools for Android that were highlighted earlier at Google I/O this year. The feature known as ‘Ask about this screen,” helps users ask queries about whatever is occurring on the screen. Another feature called 'Ask about this video' is also compatible with YouTube. The prompt pops up on top of the Gemini window after the user has commanded the AI assistant. Once the user clicks on this tab a provisional screenshot is taken and then the user can type and ask their query. While the bot’s early reaction is based on the screenshot features, the user can then direct Gemini to use the internet connectivity for more information or even recapitulate a news article.
However, the system does not store these screenshots. The bot seems to look through the video captions to define the subjects of the video for the ‘Ask about this video ‘tool. These tools were identified by Android Police on the Gemini beta application version 1.0.662093464 and the Google beta app variant 15.34.32.
Apart from Android devices, Gemini will also be incorporated into Google Meet for their new feature known as ‘Take Notes for Me’ for briefing meetings. At present, the tool is accessible in English only and will be launched to Google Workspace consumers with Gemini Education Premium, Gemini Enterprise, AI Meetings, and Messaging add-ons. The feature spontaneously creates notes in a Google Document and attaches the file to the calendar event after the meeting is done. The tool can share the file with anyone who has this tool turned on, including the meeting organizer. If an individual is late to a meeting, the feature will accommodate the individual once they have joined through links to files including the Google Doc. The tech giant Google has informed that the company will begin rolling out this tool by September 10.
Distinctly, Android Authority has announced spotting Gemini extensions for WhatsApp, and Android system notifications in the 15.34.32.29.arm64 beta, and Google Messages. The bot might help users exchange and read messages and place calls on WhatsApp utilizing voice commands as per the depiction of the feature.
