Google Chrome will make it easy to control multimedia from any tab, window

Google Chrome engineers are working on adding a Play/Pause button to the Chrome browser's toolbar to pause or resume multimedia content that is being played in the browser. The new feature, Global Media Controls (GMC), has been introduced this week in Chrome's testing playground, the Chrome Canary distribution, said a ZDNet report, adding that the new feature will be added to Chrome`s desktop versions for Windows, Mac, and Linux. 

The newly introduced button, in its current form, appears to the right side of the URL bar, where it will show a popup that slides down from the button itself. It will reportedly allow users to stop or resume currently playing media.

The feature is stated to be very buggy and crashes almost all the time when the attempt is made to pause a video. However, things are expected to work smoothly in future versions.

In another development, Google has announced Code with Google to teach young kids coding. The search engine giant has announced the new CS comprehensive resource called Code with Google for educators to help them teach coding in a better manner.

According to Google's official blog, Code with Google combines the free curriculum and programmes that help students build their coding skills, from beginner level to advanced. 

Notably, it has also announced a $1 million Google.org grant to the Computer Science Teachers Association (CSTA) to support computer science education across the United States.
