Google brings two features to Gmail: Here is how they will work

Gmail turned 15 on April 1 and as expected, Google has proposed several new features that will be incorporated into Gmail soon. With its recent spring cleaning, Google bid goodbye to its messaging application Alo, the Inbox and Google+. Gmail, on the other hand will be getting a makeover and will acquire features to become a better email platform for its subscribers and users. Initiated in the year 2004, Gmail is Google's most successful product yet and has always been one step ahead of its competitors. Gmail was the first free email service that had an automated filter system to separate spams and malware from the emails. Moreover, it came up with the Google Drive where people could send media files larger than 50 megabytes. 

To celebrate Gmail's 15th birthday, Google will launch two new features that will make Gmail more useful and convenient. One of the features is of Smart Compose, that will enable Gmail to auto complete ones sentences. Moreover, if you have trouble thinking about a subject to put in your email, Gmail's Smart Compose will come to your aid as it will suggest the best subject line, based on the content of your mail body. 

This feature is currently available on all Android devices and will soon make its presence on iOS devices. Further, the Smart Compose will be available in four new languages: French, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish.

The feature that stole the limelight and is creating the buzz is the email scheduling. This feature will have your send button include a drop down menu, which will enable you to send an email at a scheduled time. Initially, this feature was available only through third party systems. In other words, you can now send emails at your convenient time instead of saving it in draft and possibly forgetting about it.  

Google calls this a digital wellness tool as this puts Gmail in authority to send your mails, according to the time the person has set. So to say, one does not need to be physically present to click on send anymore.
