Google Bard introduces images, 40 languages and audio response: Know more about chatbot's new features
Google announced a set of new features to its AI chatbot Bard which includes image analysis, audio responses and many more. Google has included more features to its AI platform to stay ahead in competition in the generative AI space, especially from OpenAI’s ChatGPT.
Tech giant Google has now included multiple new features to its Artificial Intelligence (AI) chatbot Bard. The company on Thursday updated Bard AI with 40 more languages that included India regional languages such as Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Gujarati among others. Besides the addition of languages, Google has also upgraded major features in its AI chatbot.
Google rolled out Bard in March on an experiment basis in the United States and the United Kingdom. Right from its introduction, the company has been consistently releasing new updates.
The latest series of features added to Google Bard is being seen as a step by the tech giant to stay ahead in competition in the generative AI space, especially from OpenAI’s ChatGPT.
Google Bard updates include new languages and more
Google has announced a wide range of upgraded features that can help the user to explore their imagination and get answers that are customised and authentic. As per the announcement, Bard is now accessible in over 40 languages that include Arabic, Chinese, German, and many more. It also includes Indian regional languages like Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Gujarati, Bengali and many more.
Apart from introducing languages, Bard is also coming with more features like:
Listening to response:
This feature will allow the user to hear out the response to the prompt added only by enabling the sound icon. It will make the chatbot more interactive and exclusive. The feature of listening to the response is available in more than 40 languages.
Customised responses:
The users of Bard can customise the tone and style of the responses as simple, long, short, professional or casual. This will make the response easier to understand and access. However, this feature is now available in English only.
Export coding:
With the growing interest in the field of coding, Bard allows the user to export Python codes to Replit and also to Google Colab. This is available to access in over 40 languages.
Response sharing to network: Sharing the interaction of Bard with user’s friends and family has been made easier. Links that can be shared will be created for sending the creations and ideas to friends or colleagues.
Using image prompts:
One can upload any image and Bard will help by analysing it. However, this feature is accessible in English for now.
In a blog post about the Bard updates Google said, “Whether you want more information about an image or just need help coming up with a caption, you can now upload images with prompts and Bard will analyze the photo to help.
