Google Android 10 with Dark Mode rolled out! Check list of smartphones that got it

Google has officially rolled out the latest version of its operating system - Android 10. The operating system will be available on several devices starting today and will arrive on other smartphones later this year. In a blog post, Google explained that Android 10 will not only power next generation smartphones but will also support foldable smartphones devices such as Samsung Galaxy Fold and 5G smartphones, which includes the likes of LG V50 5G ThinQ, Samsung Galaxy S10 5G, Xiaomi Mi Mix 5G and OnePlus 7 Pro 5G among others. 

"Android 10 gives you greater protection, transparency, and control over your data," Google wrote in a blog post. The biggest highlight of the new OS is the Dark Mode which can either be enabled for specific app such as Google Photos and Calendar or can be implemented on a system-wide basis. "It's easier on your eyes, and your phone battery too," Google wrote.

"There’s lots more in Android 10, including a new enterprise feature that lets you use different keyboards for your personal and work profiles, app timers for specific websites so you can balance your time on the web, new gender-inclusive emoji, and support for direct audio streaming to hearing aid devices," Google said.

The new operating system has also introduced a special Focus mode in Digital Wellbeing which allows users to select the apps that they find distracting and silence them until they come out of the Focus mode. This feature, however, is available only the beta mode as of now and the interested users need to become beta testers to use this feature.

Earlier, the OS was called Android Q but the tech giant decided to ditch its practice of naming the operating systems after deserts and announced that the OS will be called Android 10.
