Ever wondered what kind of tech a billionaires use? At least, not an old phone. Well, a lot of people were stunned when Warren Buffett was seen using a Samsung flip phone last year. The 89-year-old billionaire has ditched the old phone and, well you guessed it right, for an Apple iPhone. The fourth-richest person in the world, recently revealed in an interview that he has parted ways with his old device. He showed that phone off to CNN in 2013 and joked that Alexander Graham-Bell gave it to him.
While talking about smartphones and how important a consumer item they have become, the CEO of Berkshire Hathaway, which owns 5.6 percent of Apple, told CNBC that he has parted ways with his Samsung SCH-U320 flip phone, which he was last seen using till 2019.
"My flip phone has permanently gone," Buffett told CNBC when asked. "I'm glad you brought that up, I have got a new smartphone," the Apple investor told the news channel. The billionaire, however, added that he still uses the smartphone for basic purposes. Buffett said that Tim Cook himself has tried to make him switch to an iPhone several times in the past. Buffett reportedly uses an iPad for research and stock trading.

Interestingly, Buffett has made the switch at a time when Samsung has launched a new flip phone - the Galaxy Z Flip - featuring two screens joined by a hinge. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip features a foldable glass with a 6.7-inch display that folds into a compact form factor that fits in the palm of your hand. It’s a dual-SIM smartphone, with one eSIM and one Nano-SIM card slot. E-sim services are currently available on Airtel and Jio networks.
There is also a cover display on the smartphone which can be used to check date, time and battery. The Z Flip features a dual rear camera with a 12MP wide lens and a 12MP ultra wide lens. There is a 10MP camera on the front as well. The smartphone features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ chipset and packs a 3300 mAh battery.
