Free Mobile Recharge: A message is being shared on social media platforms, and even in WhatsApp groups, that claims about the free mobile recharge. According to the message, that has gone viral on social media platforms, the Modi government is offering free mobile recharge of Rs 239 to all users in India. The validity of the password is said to be of 28 days. The message claims that the free recharge is being offered so that more people vote for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Lok Sabha elections slated for next year i.e. 2024.
The viral message further says that the Modi government is giving free recharge ahead of the 2024 election so that more people vote for the BJP government.
"Under Free Mobile Recharge Scheme by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, all Indian users have been promised to give free recharge of Rs 239 for 28 days, so now recharge your number by clicking on the blue coloured link below...I have also done my 28 days free recharge with this, you can also get 28 days free recharge by clicking on the link given below," the message reads.
The message also urged users to click on the blue link to avail of the offer.
However, the Public Information Bureau (PIB), a central government's initiative for information dissemination, has issued a clarification on the message. According to the PIB, the claims being made on the viral message are bogus.

"#PIBFactCheck: The claim is fake....No such announcement has been made by the Government of India," PIB Fact Check said on the microblogging site.
Sharing the screenshot of the viral message, it said that "The Government Of India Is Not Offering Free Recharge."
The PIB also shared its WhatsApp number and email address so that people can run any such suspicious messages through them before clicking on any link and committing any mistake.
