Love is in the air, as far as Amazon Alexa was concerned during the lockdown period! And yes, it was none other than Alexa who emerged as the Queen of love. As per data shared by Amazon India, Indians expressed their love to Amazon Alexa by saying 'Alexa, I love you!', as many as 19,000 times a day!

Another question that emerged on top was whether Alexa loved them back! Alexa was asked this question around 6000 times a day. 

As far as more mundane chores on Amazon shopping app that were addressed by Alexa are concerned, then know that more than 5.8 lakh requests were generated every day to help customers search for the best products and best deals and to make online payments.
In 2020, 'loneliness' was one of the important issues during the COVID-19 pandemic. 'Loneliness' was the most common buzzword among the crowd during the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to thehindu.com, for those who had access to voice assistants (VA) at their disposal, resorted to unconventional ways to ease their loneliness. It has also been revealed that Amazon's Alexa became one of the most popular companion among the people during the COVID-19 lockdown phase.

Every day almost 19,000 stories were narrated by Alexa in English and Hindi. The subjects of the stories varied from friendship to the diversity of Indian food. Alexa also played devotional songs and answered more than 4000 requests each day during the festivities of Durga Puja, Dussehra and Navaratri.

Among the total 17 lakh songs requested in 2020, the most requested Hindi songs were ‘Shaitan Ka Saala’, ‘Muqabla’, and ‘Aankh Marey’.
