"This is a very unique product. There are no options for people who want to buy a powerful system with two screens," Jonas Chen - Country Product Manager - Consumer Notebook - Asus told Zee Business Online, in an exclusive conversation on the sidelines of the launch event. He said that even though the consumers will have to pay more than Rs 2 lakh for the Pro model, they will get value for money.

"So far in this segment users do not have too many options in India. People often go for a powerful gaming laptop instead. This is where the Asus ZenBook Duo Pro will emerge as a great option for buyers," Chen added.

The dual screen setup is aimed to help 'digital nomads, creative mavericks, content creators, editors, passionate gamers, and multitasking professionals'. ZenBook Pro Duo features a full-width 4K ASUSScreenPad Plus that works with the main 4K UHD OLED display, while Zenbook Duo features a full-length 1920p ASUSScreenPad Plus that works with the main 1080p FHD LCD display.

The latter was launched keeping in mind the price sensitive Indian market.

"We know that India is a price sensitive market. That is why we came up with two different models. The Pro model is more niche and for professionals. And, we believe that we can be very competitive in the under Rs 1 lakh segment with the other model," explained Arnold Su - Consumer Notebook and ROG Business Head - Asus India.

"The Pro model of the laptop is designed for professions like gamers, video editors and content creators. The 14-inch model is made for daily light multitasking as it comes with 22 hours of battery life." he said.

The company has big plans for the Indian market. Asus aims to expand itself to more than 400 shops across the country. Apart from this, it is currently in partnership with around 6000 IT shops out of a total 12000 IT shops present in India. The company aims to take that number to up to 10,000 by 2020. It also plans two big launches in the first quarter of 2020.
