EPOS Sennheiser Adapt 560 quick REVIEW: Good performer, decent wireless headphones at Rs 29,990
As India continues to see a surge in the wireless audio device market, Denmark-based audio solutions and technology company EPOS made its debut in India with a new range of products in December last year. The company launched the launch of two products, the Adapt 560 and the Adapt 360 Bluetooth headsets in a bid to offer better audio solutions to workplaces.

Epos is the a joint venture between German specialist brand Sennheiser and Demant. These newly launched headphones have been co-developed with Sennheiser. Priced at Rs 29,990, the EPOS Adapt 560 comes in Black colour. We have reviewed the Black colour for more than two weeks and here are my views on it. The Epos Sennheiser Adapt 560 headphones boast of over 40 hours of battery life on a single charge while recharging will take close to four hours. This device for Epos has almost ticked all the right boxes in terms of design, performance, comfort, and looks.
They have a discrete boom arm for the primary microphone for calls, which can be collapsed when not needed. Bringing the mic closer to the mouth is a proven way to improve audio pickup. The headset complies with the Bluetooth 5.0 standard. Bluetooth devices need to support the “Hands-Free Profile” (HFP), the “Headset Profile” (HSP), “Audio Video Remote Control Profile” (AVRCP) or the “Advanced Audio Distribution Profile” (A2DP).
To transmit data via Bluetooth, you must pair your headset to a wireless device. The delivered dongle is already paired with the headset. The headset can save up to eight paired devices. If you want to re-establish a connection with this device, you must pair it again. The headset can be connected to two of the paired devices at the same time. You can only connect another device by disconnecting one of the already connected devices.
To connect the headset wirelessly with a computer, you can use the BTD 800 USB or BTD 800 USB-C dongle. The dongle and the headset in the bundles are already paired. The dongle LED flashes blue while searching and switches to dimmed blue when connected successfully to the headset. The headset connects to mobile and softphone simultaneously. Get clearer calls with the discreet boom arm to create excellent speech intelligibility and use ANC in noisy working situations to focus. Certified for Microsoft Teams.
The handset comes inside a decent and compact carry case with a soft cloth exterior. The case and the headphones, in Black, look very decent and the Adapt 560 follows your standard circumaural design but it is not a big headphone. The design is basic and looks good. Honestly, the device is very comfortable and you can use it for long hours without any issue.
This headphone has all its controls and ports along the bottom of the right ear cup. There is a sliding button to control playback and volume, a dedicated button for answering calls, a power button, a dedicated button for ANC, and a USB Type-C port for charging and wired use.
This headset provides attenuation of ambient noise using Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) technology. Special microphones optimize speech and reduce background noise. If you are in a noisy environment but would like to have your own quiet space, you can use the headset itself, disconnected from any device, and simply benefit from ANC. You can activate ANC if the battery is sufficiently charged and if the headset is turned on.
The Epos Adapt 560 offers great battery life and gives you around 34 hours with music playing when connected to a smartphone, on a single charge. The headphones can easily run for more than 8-9 hours during heavy usage which includes music, calls, gaming, video streaming, and more. However, I want to say that the charging is a bit slow here I used the headphones on Android and also used the dongle for connectivity with MacBook Air.
The connectivity is very swift here, especially with dongle. Active noise cancellation on the Epos Adapt 560 is very nice also the boom microphone was amazing. Overall, the performance was good but in terms of battery, the device did take time to charge, which I feel is the only drawback here.
Verdict: Priced at Rs. 29,990, Epos Adapt 560 offers great battery life and decent overall performer. With the ANC feature, the device will give you good audio and music experience and with the comfortable design, you can easily use it for long hours. Overall, for those who are looking to buy professional headphones, the Epos Sennheiser Adapt 560 won't disappoint them.
