Dyson V15 Detect: After the successful launch of its V11 and V12 vacuum cleaners in India and globally, Global consumer electronics firm Dyson recently introduced its new cordless vacuum cleaner in India -- Dyson V15 Detect -- with dust detection and detangling technology. Due to increase in air pollution and indoor dust, many of us are now inclined towards trying different and smart ways to keep our house clean and dust-free. While many companies have brought numbers of smart vacuum cleaners in the market, the Dyson brand has impressed the consumers around the globe with their products. The brand has realised that now more than ever people want hygienic homes.

The newly- launched Dyson V15 Detect cord-free vacuum cleaner is available at Rs 62,900 in the country. Realising that now more than ever people want hygienic homes, the brand built this smart vacuum cleaner. Engineered to detect hidden dust particles as small as 10 microns and equipped with an acoustic piezo sensor, the Dyson V15 Detect cord-free vacuum cleaner might be the best option when it comes to deep cleaning for Indian households. The device is equipped to provide efficient cleaning of floors, hard-to-reach places, and mattresses for the optimum deep cleaning experience. 

Let's start with design and outlook. In terms of looks, this Dyson’s recently launched vacuum cleaner comes with a gun-style look and a display at the back which shows real-time performance data and battery life. It has a premium look and design. Undoubtedly, Dyson V15 Detect cord-free vacuum cleaner is one of the most light-weight vacuum cleaners I have tested so far. Similar to the V12, You get various modes of cleaning like Eco, Med, and Boost by clicking the button on the display. The device has a Piezo sensor which provides information about the size of dust particles present. The LCD screen display shows the dust particles in micron sizes. 

I used this product for almost a week and I did not face any issues while using. The machine is not complicated -- easy to handle, very simple to understand and  it has a clear-cut superiority over the current robotic vacuum cleaners available in the market. Dyson V15 comes with several improvements over the V12 and V11 cleaners, especially when you consider the redesigned cleaner heads. There are other tools which come with the new Dyson V15 Detect, which are a mini soft dusting brush, stubborn dust brush, crevice tool, and a combination tool. Also, the fibre and the fluffy brush on the cleaners can be washed. Please note that, the design looks very similar to the previously launched Dyson V12 and V11, Overall, the vacuum cleaner is ticking most of the right boxes here.

In terms of performance, the new Dyson V15 is fitted with a Dyson Hyperdymium motor which hits speeds as fast as 125,000rpm to suck in both microscopic dust and large debris. It also has Root Cyclone technology, generating a powerful suction force to capture minute dust particles too. It is backed by diverse cleaner heads like the anti-tangle cleaner, laser slim fluffy cleaner, digital Motorbar cleaner, and hair screw. The anti-tangle cleaner serves a similar purpose to that of the hair screw tool, but due to its bigger size, it covers more area. 

Also, in terms of performance,  the latest Dyson V15 Detect is engineered with 1.5 times more suction and 54 per cent more bin capacity than the Dyson V12 Detect Slim Total Clean. The laser technology reveals hidden dust while the piezo sensor sizes and counts particles that have been sucked up, automatically adapting suction power across the different floor types. Reassuring a deep clean, the LCD screen precisely displays the size and number of particles sucked up.  The major highlight of the device is that the dust size and quantity are shown on the in-built LCD screen, so that you can see how much dust the vacuum has removed.

The laser dust technology in new Dyson V15, will ensure that your home has been deep cleaned. Laser Dust Detection reveals the particles you cannot normally see with a precisely angled laser integrated into the cleaner head.  It has a integrated a green laser diode – chosen for its ability to provide the best contrast – into the Slim Fluffy cleaner head, positioning it precisely at a 1.5 degree angle, 7.3mm off the ground. It means hidden dust on the floor surface that is otherwise invisible to the naked eye can be seen and removed. This machine is designed so that it can automatically increase suction power when it come across a large amount of dust. This happens in auto mode, when the piezo sensor detects high concentrations of dust, and reactive suction power is triggered to automatically increase in power. When dust levels normalise, suction power is reduced to its previous level, which shows that this cleaner will solve all your problems when it comes to cleaning. 

In terms of battery, the Dyson V15 Detect cord-free vacuum cleaner is powered by a 240AW motor, which is good.  And honestly,  it is the modes which you choose  will define how long the power will last, which is on average around 70 minutes to 1.5 hour in Eco and Auto modes. The Boost mode drains the battery, making it last around 25-30 minutes. The battery takes almost six hours to get fully charged, which is normal with cordless vacuum cleaners.  Overall, The Dyson V15 Detect does its work great. The Laser Dust Detection has been its highlight as it guides, detects, and removes the unseen particles from the most remote corners. All the brushes we tested during the review period worked very well.
