The world is changing and so is WhatsApp. The instant messaging platform has come a long way from when it was first launched. While texting remains to be the core of this platform, it allows you to do a lot more and is consistently adding new features to further enhance user experience. In short, the fun aspect keeps increasing. Just like 2018, 2019 too has been a busy year at WhatsApp and the Facebook-owned company has launched several new features. The latest to join the list is the ability to share WhatsApp Status to Facebook Story. Apart from this, the company has rolled out a bunch of features for Android and iOS users in the past few months. Chances are that you might have missed out on a few of these. Launched recently by the messaging app, the feature allows users to share WhatsApp Status directly to Facebook Stories. Just like Instagram, WhatsApp's status Stories let users post images, text and videos on their profile that disappear after 24 hours. To use this feature, tap on share button which appears under the Status section. This allows you share the Status directly on Facebook.

WhatsApp Fingerprint unlock

Privacy has been the centre of most WhatsApp updates of recent times. And, the app recently rolled out WhatsApp fingerprint unlock for both Android as well as iOS users. The feature adds an extra layer of security to your WhatsApp messages and allows you to lock the app with fingerprint or Face ID on iPhones. WhatsApp also lets users hide content from notifications when fingerprint unlock is enabled.

WhatsApp Frequently forwarded

Another problem WhatsApp has been trying to deal with is the spread of misinformation on the platform. For this, the platform had recently rolled out the frequently forwarded label that shows you if a message has been forwarded too many times. This tag appears on top of a message when it is forwarded more than five times.

WhatsApp consecutive voice messages

Another handy update by WhatsApp is the ability to play consecutive voice messages. Until this update, the users had to play each voice message individually. However, that has changed now. The new feature plays audio files consecutively if a user gets multiple voice messages.
