CRED members can now use RuPay credit cards from major banks, including HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Yes Bank, Axis Bank, and others, to make UPI payments. Activating the UPI service on credit cards is a simple process through the CRED app.
Online payment platform CRED in collaboration with the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has launched RuPay credit card-based Unified Payments Interface (UPI) payments for its members. This step is aimed at augmenting consumption and inclusivity in the credit sector, offering benefits to banks and merchants alike.
Expanding reach across major banks
As part of this move, CRED now supports RuPay credit cards from an array of major banks.
These include HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Yes Bank, Axis Bank, BOB Financial Solutions, Canara Bank, Indian Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Punjab National Bank, and Union Bank. This expanded reach empowers members to harness their RuPay credit cards for payments via UPI.
As of now, CRED has extended support for RuPay credit cards issued by HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Yes Bank, Axis Bank, Bank of Baroda, Canara Bank, Indian Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Punjab National Bank, and Union Bank.
