Facebook parent company Meta has announced that it will soon unveil a new technique, AI Studio, to help users create, share, and design customized AI characters or chatbots. It will also help Instagram content creators utilize the AI characters that will function as an extension of their own personality, which can manage their common DM questions and story responses, said company officials. As per the report, people using the company’s social media platforms will be able to share their AI characters on their social media handles on the platform.

The new AI tool of Meta has been developed with Meta's Llama 3.1, the major variant of its mostly free artificial intelligence models, released last week. It can be used in various languages and has performance metrics that contend with professional models from other players like OpenAI.

On the other hand, ChatGPT maker OpenAI has also been working on a project code titled "Strawberry". As per a report, further information on this project is closely kept confidential even within OpenAI, as the company competes to highlight that the kinds of models it provides are proficient in bringing progressive reasoning abilities.

Though users can try currently available chatbots filling AI Studio, they might have to wait a little while before they can start creating their own chatbots or AI characters. AI Studio has already begun rolling out in the United States to Instagram Business handles and it will extend to all Meta users in the next couple of weeks. Meta has said that its AI Studio will be available on its official website but will also appear on the company’s social media platforms such as Messenger, Instagram, and popular messaging application WhatsApp.
