HMD Global has launched Nokia X5 in China today. Nokia X5 is Nokia's latest addition to the X-series phones which also includes Nokia X6, which is all set to be launched globally as Nokia 6.1 Plus tomorrow. Following the trend, Nokia X5 might also be launched in the global market as Nokia 5.1 Plus.

There are two variants of Nokia X5 available for the customers. 32GB and 3GB RAM is the base variant which is priced at RMB 999 (approximately Rs 10,200). The second variant is priced at RMB 1,399 (approximately Rs 14,300) which comes with 64GB storage and 4GB of RAM. Going on sale via a few Chinese retail websites, the smartphone is available in Black, White, and Blue colours.

The smartphone features a 5.86-inch 19:9 display with HD+ (1520×720 pixels) resolution. It runs on MediaTek Helio P60 octa-core chipset paired with Mali-G72 MP3 GPU. The built-in memory of Nokia X5 can be expanded up to 256GB using a microSD card.

From the camera front, it sports a dual-camera setup at the rear side. The smartphone is equipped with a 13-megapixel primary sensor with f/2.0 aperture, PDAF support, and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor. An 8-megapixel sensor with f/2.2 aperture and 80.4 degrees wide-angle lens is in the front.

Nokia X5 supports dual Sim and runs on Android 8.1 Oreo and is also capable of upgrading the software to  Android P.

A fingerprint sensor is also included in Nokia X5 by the company. The connectivity options include USB Type-C port, 4G VoLTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, and GPS. The phone is powered by 3,060mAh battery.
