Cable services consumers alert! New TV Channel Selector service from TRAI for THESE users - Check what it is and its benefits
Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) today launched a TV Channel Selector Portal for those subscribers who do not own a smartphone or wish to use the web browsers, the telecom regulator informed via a press release. Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) today launched a TV Channel Selector Portal for those subscribers who do not own a smartphone or wish to use the web browsers, the telecom regulator informed via a press release. This new service has been launched under TRAI’s ‘New Regulatory Framework’ for Broadcasting and Cable Services.
This service has been launched for those subscribers who were unable to use the TV Channel Selector App because of not owning a smart phone. This portal has all the existing features of the App, this TRAI release claimed.
What all can be done through TV Channel Selector Portal?
- Subscribers will be able to check their own subscription
- View all channels and bouquets provided by the DTH/Cable service provider
- Choose only the channels of interests and remove unwanted channels
- Get optimised solution; get best combination of user selected channels/bouquets in same price or less price
- Facility to add channel in the available NCF (Network Capacity Fee)
- Allow user to modify existing subscription
- Check real time status of your subscription request
- Download and print current subscription, offerings and set subscription request.
The users will also have the option to provide feedback by clicking on the ‘Feedback’ option available on the Issue/Feedback menu, the release said.
TRAI had notified this regulatory framework in March 2017 and it came into effect on 29 December 2018.
