Book your train tickets in India straight from this app
Prior to booking a train ticket through Google Pay, you should ensure that you have a working IRCTC (Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation) account. If not, you should create one, while going through the booking process or signing up.
Google has been one place where you can satisfy any number of your queries, but now it will also facilitate you with other services through its app, Google Pay, which was earlier named as Tez. Google Pay will now assist you to book train tickets in India – both on iOS and Android. The money will be deducted directly from your bank account, therefore, you no longer need any additional apps for this exercise.
Prior to booking a train ticket through Google Pay, you should ensure that you have a working IRCTC (Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation) account. If not, you should create one, while going through the booking process or signing up.
For booking a train ticket on Google Pay, you should follow the steps given below:
1. You should first open Google Pay app on your phone, scroll down to the Business section, and tap on the trains icon.
2. Tap on Book Train Tickets, and select origin and destination with the date of travel and General/Ladies quota to search for trains. Notably, Tatkal ticket booking facility is not available right now.
3. After going through the list of trains, you can check availability, and select a class to book your ticket.
4. After selecting a class of ticket, you should enter your details like IRCTC ID, name, contact number and age.
5. Now, you will be asked to pay through your Google Pay UPI account, and enter the password for the IRCTC account in subsequent steps.
