IT giants Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Infosys and Wipro have announced huge investments in the Artificial Intelligence (AI) segment. On Tuesday, July 18), Infosys signed a deal with an existing strategic client to enter into a framework agreement for developing AI and automation-led development, modernisation, and maintenance services over the next five years.  The second largest IT company of the country announced an investment of up to $2 billion under this deal.

Wipro also has recently launched a new generative AI platform AI360 to enhance its operations and client offerings. The company will make an investment of $1 billion in AI over the next three years.

TCS creating its own AI chatbot

India’s largest IT company is working to create its own ChatGPT-like AI platform, which will be equivalent to that used for enterprise code generation. The development was confirmed by the chief operating officer of TCS, N Ganapathy Subramaniam, who said that the project is currently in its initial stages and will be built through in-house algorithms.

In a bid to help customers jumpstart their generative AI journey to power their growth and transformation and ideate its clients' teams on AI, TCS has also launched a new generative AI Enterprise Adoption on Microsoft Clouds.

TCS aims to train 25,000 engineers

Announcing its partnership with Microsoft, TCS said it is planning to train 25,000 engineers to scale its Azure Open AI expertise. With this TCS aims to help clients increase their adoption of this technology. Notably, TCS already has a large number of AI-trained associates and support of Microsoft Business Unit (MBU) to help the company's clients in their AI Journeys using TCS' data analytics and AI services on Microsoft Cloud.

Infosys targets spending $2 billion on its AI solutions

In a bid to provide AI and automation-led services to its clients, Infosys recently announced a $2 billion investment over the next five years. The deal was signed between Infosys and an existing strategic client. 

To boost business value for global enterprises using generative AI, Infosys has also launched Topaz. With the launch of this solution, the company aims to enhance the human potentials, communities and enterprises to create value from innovations, pervasive efficiencies, and a connected ecosystem. With the use of an applied AI framework, Infosys aims to build an AI-first core to empower people to deliver cognitive solutions, increase growth, build connected ecosystems, and enhance efficiencies.

Wipro launches AI360

A new generative AI platform, called AI360, has been launched by Wipro recently. With the launch of this tool, the company aims to integrate AI into all its operations and client offerings. The company has announced to invest $1 billion by 2026 for further advancement of AI capabilities.
