Apple wants to update your old iPhone, iPad models - Here is why
Features such as iCloud syncing and fetching email may also witness some issues if the users do not update.
If you are using an old iPhone or an iPad, then now is high time to update your devices. Technology company Apple has released updates in order to fix a crucial GPS issue. Some iPhone and iPad models introduced in 2012 and earlier will now require an iOS update, starting September 3 2019. The update is necessary to maintain GPS location, date, and time features.
According to the company, if the users fail to update their devices latest by November 2 2019, then the user will not be able to have accurate GPS position and functions. Additionally, features such as iCloud syncing and fetching email may also witness some issues if the users do not update their devices.
Currently, with new updates by Apple releasing soon, iPhone users will be able to make data migration from one iPhone to the other as well as enhancement in device security. So for all the Apple iPhone as well as iPad users, with the new updates scheduled to release by September, will enable the users experience a number of cool features.
iPhones can be updated with iOS 12.4 while the Apple Watches get an update version of WatchOS 5.3 soon.
