We all know that Apple is yet to step into the foldable phone market but reports suggest that the tech giant has been working towards accelerating the launch of its foldable phone in the market. If sources are to be believed, the company is all set to make an entry in the foldable arena in the next couple of years with the launch of its iPhone flip handset. Samsung has already been in this space with the Galaxy Z Flip variant and launched the sixth generation of the handset recently.

However, it appears Apple is focusing on coming up with a cut-above product rather than launching a product in haste. As per the reports, Apple will unveil its Flip iPhone handset sometime in 2026, which reflects that users might have a huge foldable surprise along with the release of iPhone 18 that year.

Speculations are rife that the progress of the flip iPhone has already begun this year. The two-year period shows that the launch of Flip iPhone might take place somewhere around 2026. It is surprising to know that the tech giant will make its debut in the foldable phone market with a flip variant rather than a full-grown foldable handset.

Most of all, the flip type factor has not been able to rationalize its usability case, particularly when compared to the fully-developed Foldable models that provide more multitasking to users. Nevertheless, Apple appears to have teamed up with the Samsung Display division for the foldable panels that will be provided in its foldable iPhone in the next couple of years.

Foldable phones have become quite prevalent in the market and gradually other players are also making their presence felt in the foldable phone market other than Samsung. However, the foldable segment is still on the expensive pricing side due to the technology used in the phone and even though Apple would love to introduce a premium foldable handset to highlight its drives, its upcoming Flip phone might be restricted to a few buyers due to its pricing akin to its stint with the Vision Pro headset priced at $3,499 earlier this year.
