Apple introduces iMac with M4 chip - Check specs, price, availability and other details

Apple iMac: Tech major Apple has introduced a new iMac with M4 Chip and Apple Intelligence. According to the information available, the iMac will be available at a starting price of Rs 1,34,900 and goes up to Rs 1,94,900 in India.

Apple iMac: Colour Variants

Apple iMac: The iMac will be available in seven colour variants - Blue, Purple, Pink, Orange, Yellow, Green and Silver.

256GB SSD (Configurable to: 512GB or 1TB) - Rs 1,34,900

256GB SSD (Configurable to: 512GB, 1TB or 2TB) - Rs 1,54,900

512GB SSD (Configurable to: 1TB or 2TB) - Rs 1,74,900

512GB SSD (Configurable to: 1TB or 2TB) - Rs 1,94,900

The iMac is available to pre-order now and the availability will begin from November 8, 2024 onwards.

iMac with M4 Features 

According to Apple, the new iMac with M4 Chip is up to 1.7x faster for daily productivity, and up to 2.1x faster for demanding workflows like photo editing and gaming, compared to the iMac with M1.

"The Neural Engine in M4 is now over 3x faster than on iMac with M1, making it the world’s best all-in-one for AI, and accelerating the pace at which users can get things done," the company said.

The new iMac comes with a 24-inch 4.5K Retina display that offers a new nano-texture glass option. It features a new 12MP Center Stage camera with Desk View, up to four Thunderbolt 4 ports, and colour-matched accessories that include USB-C.

According to Apple, the new iMac is up to 4.5x faster when compared to the most popular 24-inch all-in-one PC with the latest Intel Core 7 processor and up to 6x faster when compared to the most popular Intel-based iMac model. 

Apple Intelligence on Mac

Apple has introduced a lot of AI features on the new iMac. Some of them are Writing Tools, natural language search in photos,  image playground and much more.
