Amazon Great Indian festival sale will start on October 17, the e-commerce giant announced on Tuesday morning. This year the sale will last for a month, the company said, with 24-hour early access to its prime members. The Amazon Sale will start a day after its nearest competitor Flipkart is hosting its Big Billion Days sale. Flipkart had already confirmed that The Big Billion Days Sale will run through October 16 to October 21.

This year Amazon is betting big on Small and Medium Businesses in its sale. It said that the sale will be focused on SMBs and customers will get 10 per cent discount after purchasing from them.  

Amazon has earmarked $1 billion to enable medium and small businesses in India, and as many as 10 million small businesses are expected to join the digital platform by the year 2025. Amazon has also helped smaller businesses return back to normalcy as far as business is concerned, after a tough last few month because of the coronavirus pandemic. 

It said that there has been an increase in interest among sellers. Amazon said that it can witness about 60 to 80 per cent spike in this regard. Also, for the first time Customers will get items from local stores as well. 

Amazon also says that there will be a 10% instant discount on HDFC Bank credit and debit cards as well as EMI. There will also be No Cost EMI on credit and debit cards via Bajaj Finserv with credit limit up to Rs 1 lakh, depending on your eligibility. There will also be Amazon Pay Daily Shopping Rewards which could see you save up to Rs 500 every day of the Amazon Great Indian Festival Sale days. 

Several new products will also be launched in and around the sale. OnePlus 8T scheduled for October 14 launch is likely to go on sale for the first time during the Amazon sale while company’s own new Fire Stick will also be launched as part of the sale.
