Airtel vs Reliance Jio: Days after Reliance Jio announced 100% cashback on a number of recharge plans, Airtel today announced Rs 2000 cashback on purchase of new smartphones to its subscribers during the ongoing festive season. Under "AirtelThanks" programme, Airtel subscribers can earn cashback in the form of digital coupons that can be redeemed to make prepaid or postpaid connection payment, the company said in a statement today.
Airtel will award the cashbacks in the users' My Airtel account. They will get 40 coupons of Rs 50 each. They can be redeemed on subsequent recharges of Rs 199 and above prepaid packs, or postpaid bill payment of Rs 399 and above.The recharge coupons will auto apply on every subsequent recharges.
The cashback offer can be availed by customers buying a new 4G smartphone from an online or offline store. To get the offer, customers need to insert an Airtel 4G SIM in a new 4G smartphone on or before October 31, 2018.
Jio 100% Diwali cashback offer
Aritel's biggest rival, Reliance Jio recently announced 100% cashback offer on select recharge plans with some terms and conditions. Under'Jio Diwali 100% Cashback offer', the company promises effectively free recharge plans but with certain terms and conditions.
Ahead of Diwali, Jio has also introduced a new yearly plan priced at Rs 1699 with unlimited 547 GB data and free voice call. Under the plan, you will be able to enjoy 1.5 GB data per day for a year and 100% cashback offer.
The cashback will be credited in the form of Reliance Digital Coupons in the MyJio app of the subscriber. The coupons can be redeemed at Reliance Digital stores later (see link).
