After Samsung shocked the Galaxy Note lovers by recalling it back over battery failure issue, the aviation ministry in US and UAE have banned the Note 7 on flights while travelling.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) – the US air regulator stated passengers travelling through aircraft not to use Samsung Galaxy Note 7 smartphone in any manner. 

Not only this, the UAE's national airlines also followed the same ban, in order to maintain the safety of passengers.

Samsung Electronics said, “We are aware of the Federal Aviation Administration’s statement about the Galaxy Note7.”

In response to the recent announcement regarding battery cell issues with the Galaxy Note7, Samsung advised customers to power down their Note7 and exchange it as soon as possible, as part of the company's U.S. Product Exchange Program for all Galaxy Note7 owners.

It said,"We strongly advise all customers to use this exchange program because your safety is our top priority. Additional sales and shipments of the affected devices have been stopped, but if you already have a Galaxy Note7, we strongly advise that you replace it."

The South Korean-headquartered Samsung added, “Consumer safety and peace of mind are our top priority. We plan to expedite new shipments of Samsung Galaxy Note7 starting from this week in order to alleviate any safety concerns and reduce any inconvenience for our customers."

Last week, Indian ministry of aviation also prohibited the usage or carriage of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 on board an aircraft.

The ministry has issued a  public notice, advising the airlines and people travelling via this route not to switch on or charge the said mobile during flights. 

On September 2, after conducting a thorough investigation, Samsung found a battery cell issue in Note 7.

As of September 1, there have been 35 cases with the same issue reported globally. 

Recently, Samsung Austrailia has recalled nearly 50000 Galaxy Note 7 smartphone.
