Apple has been at the receiving end of criticism for removing charger as well as EarPods from its retail box. The box for iPhone 12, iPhone 11, and iPhone XR comes only with the USB to Lightning cable. The tech giant said that this decision was taken to reduce carbon footprint and contribute to saving the environment.

However, there is one country where Apple is doing otherwise. Or, is being forced to do so. In France, Apple is bundling the EarPods with the iPhone 12 in the retail box because the law requires manufacturers to ship headphones with the phone.

The smartphone maker has also found an innovative way to ship the EarPods. Since the iPhone 12 retail box is the same for all countries, Apple is giving another, bigger retail box to include EarPods with the smartphone in France. The power adapter is still not there, because that is not mandated by the French law but, for what it is worth, iPhone 12 users in France will not have to spend extra on headphones should they need a pair of them.

This year four new Apple iPhone 12 models were launched. These include - iPhone 12 Mini (5.4-inch screen), iPhone 12 (6.1-inch screen), iPhone 12 Pro (6.1-inch screen), and iPhone 12 Pro Max (6.7-inch screen). The Apple iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Mini come in black, white, red, green and blue colours. The higher-end iPhone 12 Pro with more powerful cameras comes in silver, graphite, gold and blue. The 12 Pro Max, with a 6.7-inch display.

The iPhone 12 and 12 Pro will be available starting October 23; the Mini and the Pro Max will follow on November 13.

The pandemic temporarily paralyzed Apple's overseas factories and key suppliers, leading to a delay of the latest iPhones from their usual late September rollout. The company also closed many of its US Stores for months because of the pandemic, depriving Apple of a prime showcase for its products.
