Touted as the SuperPhone, Xiaomi launched Mi 11Ultra smartphone in India with the world's first triple pro-grade camera set up (50MP+48MP+48MP), fastest 67W charging, and Harmon Kardon speakers. Mi 11 Ultra (12GB +256GB) will be available in two colors variants, Cosmic Black and Cosmic White, for 69,999. Mi 11 Ultra also offers a secondary 1.1-inch inch AMOLED touch display on the back, that acts as an always-on display to show the time, date and notifications.

On the other hand, the launch of OnePlus 9 Pro with a focus on an improved camera technology developed in partnership with Swedish company Hasselblad sends a strong signal to its competitors. The phone comes in two variants. While 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage variant was launched at Rs 64,999, the 12+256GB variant was introduced at Rs 69,999.

Both, Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra 5G and OnePlus 9 Pro 5G are powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset, making the devices suitable for heavy use.

In terms of specifications, the Mi 11 Ultra ‘SuperPhone' with quad curved 6.81-inch panel also houses the world's 1st smartphone camera with Dual Pixel Pro technology that allows much faster autofocus — both horizontally, as well as vertically, the company said.

The pro-grade triple primary camera setup at the rear has a 50MP GN2 custom sensor co-developed with Samsung's ISOCELL division, a 48MP Sony IMX586 ultra-wide sensor and a 48MP Sony IMX586 Periscope lens system with 5x optical zoom, which is also capable of 10x Hybrid and 120x Digital zoom.

While the triple primary camera setup brings the ability to shoot in 8K across lenses, it also brings in the ability to shoot Night mode content across lenses, the company said. The smartphone supports four different refresh rates: 30Hz, 60Hz, 90Hz and 120Hz.

The smartphone also supports Dolby Vision and HDR10+ technology and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass ‘Victus', the most advanced protection on a smartphone yet. According to the company, Mi 11 Ultra can run at peak power for long stretches of time, owing to the new cooling system and new GameTurbo 4.0 feature; it boosts the performance at peak to fulfill the needs of the most demanding gamers

The Mi 11 Ultra comes with a 5,000mAh battery. The device claims full charge in 36 minutes with superfast 67W technology (available as both wired as well as wireless capabilities). The device comes with IP68 dust and water resistance rating.

On the other hand, OnePlus 9 Pro offers latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 mobile platform, the superior Fluid Display 2.0 with a DisplayMate A+ rating, and industry-challenging fast charging solutions, Warp Charge 65T and Warp Charge 50 Wireless.

The OnePlus 9 Pro's 48MP main camera features a custom-designed IMX789 sensor, co-engineered with Sony, with an impressively large 1/1.4-inch sensor. It offers faster focus speeds, four-times more color information for greater color accuracy, cleaner daytime and night shots, and reduced motion blur in videos. 

The OnePlus 9 Pro's 50MP ultra-wide camera uses a 1/1.56-inch Sony IMX766 sensor, which ensures enhanced image quality and lower noise. The 8MP telephoto camera on the OnePlus 9 Pro offers 3.3 times zoom with OIS to reduce blur, maxing out at 30 times digital zoom.

The OnePlus 9 Pro's main camera features 16-times the pixel count of standard 1080p for high-quality videos, the company said. It can shoot at 4K 120fps, giving you more creative possibilities in shooting video and editing, with DOL-HDR ensuring you always get the subject in clear view in backlit environments. The OnePlus 9 Pro's ultra-wide camera can also create time-lapse video when walking.
