Chinese handset maker Vivo has launched the Vivo Y72 5G smartphone in Thailand with premium features including 6.58-inch display, Dimensity 700 chipset, a 64MP triple camera system, and a massive 5,000 mAh battery.

Vivo Y72 5G pricing and availability

According to a report from gizmochina, the Vivo Y72 5G’s single variant with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage is priced at 9,999 Baht (around Rs 23, 400) in Thailand. The device comes in two colors such as Graphite Black and Dream Glow. The smartphone will be up for pre-orders between March 25 to March 30, and it will go on sale on March 31. The company didn't reveal anything on India availability yet. However, several media reports stated that this device might come to India in May.

Vivo Y72 5G specifications and features

The Vivo Y72 5G sports a teardrop notch IPS LCD screen of 6.58 inches, Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, a 20:9 aspect ratio, 96 percent NTSC color gamut and a 90.6 percent screen-to-body ratio. The display notch features a 16MP camera for selfies and video calls.

According to a report, the device has a uniquely designed vertical camera setup, which comprises a 64MP, an 8MP ultrawide lens with a 120-degree FOV, and a 2MP macro shooter. The smartphones offer photography features like EIS, eye autofocus, and super night mode. The phone boots to FunTouch OS 11.1 flavored Android 11 OS.

The Dimensity 700 SoC powers the Vivo Y72 5G with LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.1 storage. The device is powered by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W charging. The connectivity includes dual SIM support with 5G, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, USB-C, a microSD card slot, a superlinear speaker, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
