Smartphones launching this week: In probably what is the craziest week of 2020 for tech lovers, several top-end smartphones are either set to launch or will go on sale in India, this week. The madness will start with the launch of Vivo V20 and Apple iPhone 12 line up on Tuesday. This will be followed by OnePlus 8T on Wednesday and Xiaomi’s Mi 10 series on Thursday. On Friday, Google’s Pixel 4a will go on sale for the first time in country. Here are all smartphones set to launch this week:

Here is a detailed look at each one of them. 

Vivo V20 

The first smartphone to come with Android 11 out-of-the-box, Vivo V20 will launch on October 13. It is confirmed to come with a 44MP selfie camera. The smartphone uses a Snapdragon 720G processor, accompanied by 8 GB RAM and 128 GB internal memory. It features a 6,44-inch display with a hole-punch camera on top. At the back, the phone is expected to sport a triple camera module. The primary camera features a 64-megapixel sensor. This is accompanied by an ultrawide camera with an 8-megapixel sensor and 2-megapixel sensor for depth perception. 

Apple iPhone 12 Series 

This year Apple is set to launch as many as four iPhone models – iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone Pro Max. All the smartphones are tipped to come with the new A14 Bionic chip and better cameras. The iPhone 12 series will start at $649 (around Rs 49,220). The last iPhone 11 series came at a starting price of $699 (around Rs 53,090 approximately). 

OnePlus 8T

On October 14, OnePlus will launch the OnePlus 8T. The company has already revealed the design and one colour option of the phone. The design showcased by OnePlus in a new blog post reveals the smartphone in Aquamarine Green colour option. The latest smartphone will be sold exclusively as a part of the Amazon Great Indian Festival sale. 

Xiaomi Mi 10T, Mi 10T Pro 5G 

Xiaomi has also announced the Mi 10T series launch in India on October 15. The Mi 10T runs on MIUI 12, based on Android 10, and features a full hd+ display with 20:9 aspect ratio, 144Hz refresh rate, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Under the hood, the smartphone includes the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC, coupled with up to 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM. There is the triple rear camera setup that houses the 64-megapixel primary sensor.

Google Pixel 4a 

The recently launched Google Pixel 4a will go on sale in India for the first time on October 16. The Google Pixel 4a comes with a 5.81-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080x2340 pixels at a pixel density of 443 pixels per inch (ppi) and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. Google Pixel 4a is powered by a 1.8GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G processor. It comes with 6GB of RAM. The smartphone runs Android 10 (Android 11 update rolled out) and is powered by a 3140mAh non-removable battery. The Google Pixel 4a supports proprietary fast charging.
