Samsung Galaxy Unpacked Event Live Update: After successfully launching two foldable smartphones - Galaxy Z Fold 2 5G and Galaxy Z Flip 2 5G last year amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the global smartphone brand Samsung is ready to introduce new flagship foldable devices in India - Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 along with Galaxy 4 series smartwatches and the Galaxy Buds 2 during the online Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event in India at 7:30 PM.

The upcoming foldable smartphones -- Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Galaxy Z Fold 3 are expected to pack sleeker designs, faster processors, and improved durability. The Galaxy Watch 4 and the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic will be the first Samsung smartwatches to sport a unified version of Wear OS. The event has the tagline -- Get ready to Unfold. Samsun Galaxy Buds 2 is expected to be the successor to the Galaxy Buds+, with a few upgrades including active noise cancellation (ANC). The earbuds are also expected to have an IPX2-certified design for water resistance and Bluetooth v5.2 connectivity.

The Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event starts with the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 series.  The smartwatch runs on the new Google's WearOS and Samsung's Tizen OS operating system.

Samsung has announced that Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt will be present during the Galaxy Unpacked Event. The brand took to micro-blogging site Twitter and wrote: "As we move closer to the biggest event of the year, we wanted to share this special surprise with you all.  Welcome Alia Bhatt to Galaxy Unpacked! The good just became better. A lot more to unfold at 7:30PM. Stay tuned to #SamsungUnpacked."

Samsung has announced a new Exynos W920 chipset for wearables Samsung has introduced a new processor, named the Exynos W920, for its future wearables. As per its statement, Samsung’s new chip is the first to be based on an advanced 5-nanometer (nm) extreme ultra-violet (EUV) process node and has an LTE modem integrated into it.

Galaxy Z Fold 3 can be priced between KRW 1,900,000 (around Rs 1,23,605) and KRW 1,999,000 (around Rs 1,30,045) and the Galaxy Z Flip 3 will retail between KRW 1,200,000 (around Rs 78,066) and KRW 1,280,000 (around Rs 83270.79), the IANS reported.

Samsung is expected to unveil its new wireless earbuds, the Galaxy Buds 2, at its online Unpacked event on Wednesday, along with new foldable smartphones. Market researcher Counterpoint Research said the new hearables product is predicted to come out with a cheaper price tag compared to Galaxy Buds Pro earbuds that were released in January.

The company has also announced that customers in India can now pre-reserve the upcoming Galaxy flagship smartphones by paying a token amount of Rs. 2,000 on Samsung India's e-Store or Samsung Shop App. The event will be live-streamed on Samsung Newsroom India and Samsung.com, starting 7:30 p.m. IST. Those who are interested in buying new foldable premium smartphones from Samsung can reserve their pre-booking for Rs 2,000.
