Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, Galaxy S22 Plus, Galaxy S22 specs leaked ahead of launch on Feb 9: All you need to know

Samsung Galaxy S22 series launch: The South Korean smartphone brand Samsung is planning to launch its next premium flagship S22 series on February 9 at the February Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event but ahead of the launch event, the key specifications of the S22 series have been revealed online.

"The leak reaffirms that three Samsung smartphones will be announced at the Unpacked event next week. It showed that the Samsung Galaxy S22 will offer a 6.1-inch display, while the Galaxy S22 Plus and Galaxy S22 Ultra will bring a 6.6-inch and 6.8-inch display, respectively," The BGR India reported.

According to BGR India, both Samsung Galaxy S22 and Plus phones will include a triple rear camera system. On the rear panel, the S22 will include a 12-megapixel Ultrawide angle lens, 50-megapixel wide-angle lens, and 10-megapixel telephoto lens. The Plus model will pack the same set of camera specifications.

The Ultra is said to include four image sensors consisting of a 108MP primary sensor, 12MP ultra wide-angle lens, two 10-megapixel telephoto lens. On the front, the Samsung Galaxy S22 and S22 Plus will include a 10MP image sensor for selfies and video calls. The Ultra will include a 40-megapixel front shooter, the report said.

The Galaxy S22 Ultra will be also better at stabilising videos. An AI-assisted Wide Shift OIS feature will help in achieving better stabilisation of videos, effectively reducing camera shake by four times when compared to the S21 Ultra, the IANS reported.

Earlier, Samsung officially announced its February Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event its first major hardware launch event of 2022, for next month. The company is planning to unveil the next generation of Galaxy S  smartphones during the event.

 “At Unpacked in February 2022, we’ll introduce you to the most noteworthy S series device we’ve ever created. The next generation of Galaxy S is here, bringing together the greatest experiences of our Samsung Galaxy into one ultimate device," Samsung President TM Roh, head of the company's MX Business, wrote in a blog post.
