South Korean tech giant Samsung has announced its online 'Galaxy Awesome Unpacked' event on March 17 where it will likely introduce new mid-range smartphone models -- Galaxy A52 and Galaxy A72. This is the first time that Samsung has decided to hold an "Unpacked" event for the Galaxy A series.

In a media invite, the company said, "Good Morning! Samsung India will be hosting the 'Galaxy Awesome Unpacked' on March 17, 2021. The event will be live-streamed at 8:30PM IST on Samsung India’s YouTube Channel and India Newsroom."

Samsung was yet to confirm any specifications regarding the upcoming Galaxy A smartphones, but industry sources said the A52 and the A72 will come with a 6.5-inch display and a 6.7-inch screen, respectively, the news agency IANS reported. Both models are expected to feature a rear quad-camera setup, including a 64MP main sensor, and have an optical image stabilization system previously used only for Samsung's flagship devices.

In South Korea, the 5G-supporting A52 and the A72 are expected to be released in the second quarter with the prices estimated at between 500,000 won (around Rs 31,900) and 600,000 won (around Rs 38,300).

Meanwhile, Samsung Galaxy Awesome Unpacked event will start at 8:30 PM IST on March 17. This is a virtual event, and it will be streamed live via the Samsung Newsroom as well as the company’s YouTube page. The company has also put out a 14-second teaser video on its Newsroom page.
