Redmi on Thursday announced the launch date of its upcoming smartwatch in India -- Redmi Watch 2 Lite. According to the brand, Redmi Watch 2 Lite's India launch date is set for March 9 and it will be unveiled with Redmi Note 11 Pro, Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G smartphone. Both the devices will be introduced in the country on the same date.
Redmi, which is the sub-brand of tech giant Xiaomi, took to micro-blogging site Twitter and wrote: "It begins! Chase For Confidence. Chase For Style. #ChaseForMore Watch out for the all-new #RedmiWatch2Lite, coming your way on 09.03.2022." The technology brand has also created a micro site for this upcoming smartwatch.

The micro site didn't reveal much about the Redmi Watch 2 Lite but, shows different watch faces. However, the watch is already available in other markets. The Watch 2 Lite was announced in November last year and has been selling in Europe.
The Redmi Watch 2 Lite comes with a 1.55-inch TFT touchscreen that provides a resolution of 360 x 320 pixels while the PPI density is 311. The watch comes in multiple colour options like Black, Blue, and Ivory.
Redmi Watch 2 Lite packs a non-removeable Li-Ion 262 mAh battery while the sensors include an Accelerometer, heart rate, gyro, compass, and SpO2. The device is built with a plastic back and plastic frame. It features IM and Email facilities and runs on a proprietary operating system.
Redmi Watch 2 Lite also gets support for A-GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, BDS while there is no NFC, Radio, USB, and 3.5mm jack. It supports over 100 sport modes, GPS (with Galileo, GLONASS, and BDS), up to 10 days of claimed battery life, and has 5 ATM water resistance.
