Realme has finally launched its much-awaited Realme 8 series with two new smartphones in the county -- Realme 8 and Realme 8 Pro during a virtual event.
In an attempt to gain more customers in the mid-segment smartphone market in India, tech giant Realme has finally launched its much-awaited Realme 8 series with two new smartphones in the county -- Realme 8 and Realme 8 Pro during a virtual event. The Realme 8 Pro is equipped 108MP ultra-quad camera.
Available in three colours -- Infinite Blue, Infinite Black, Illuminating Yellow and two storage variants, the Realme 8 Pro is priced at Rs 17,999 (6GB+128GB) and Rs 19,999 (8GB + 128GB). On the other hand, the Realme 8 Pro will be available in two colours -- Cyber Silver and Cyber Black and three variants — Rs 14,999 (4GB+128GB), Rs 15,999 (6GB+128GB) and Rs 16,999 (8GB+128GB). These two newly launched smartphones will be up for sale from March 25 onwards.
Realme 8 and Realme 8 Pro Unboxing and First Impressions
With the company's real upgrade programme, the realme 8 Pro (6GB+128GB) will cost Rs 12,599 and realme 8 Pro (8GB+128GB) Rs 13,999.
"We have introduced Realme 8 series with the world- first and new camera features for our users like Starry Time-lapse Video and Tilt-shift Time-lapse Video. Realme 8 Pro is the first Realme smartphone to be equipped with a 108MP Ultra Quad Camera and Realme 8 will also allow our users to experience a 64MP AI Quad Camera, which is a step above most conventional camera systems," said Madhav Sheth, VP, Realme and CEO, Realme India and Europe.

Realme 8 and Realme 8 Pro Specifications
The Realme 8 Pro comes with a 6.4-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display and ultra-fast in-display fingerprint, which is another highlight of the smartphone. Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G, this device comes with Realme UI 2.0.
On the rear side, the Realme 8 Pro has 108MP quad rear cameras, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP B&W sensor. All the four camera sensors are placed in a square camera module in the top left corner, along with an LED flash and the “108MP camera” branding. It offers a 16MP in-display selfie camera.
The 108MP camera in 8 Pro offers Starry Time-lapse Video and Tilt-shift Time-lapse Video. It also features 3X in-sensor zoom, tilt-shift photography mode, new starry mode and many new portrait modes. The device comes with a 4500mAh battery with 50W SuperDart charge that can charge the device to 100 per cent in 47 minutes.
Realme 8 is equipped with 6.4-inch Super AMOLED Fullscreen and ultra-fast In-display fingerprint scanner, a 5000mAh battery with 30W Dart Charge. It is powered by MediaTek Helio G95 Gaming Processor, featuring realme UI 2.0 out of the box.
On the rear side, there is a 64MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, a 2-megapixel macro lens, and a 2MP B&W lens. The 16MP front camera and the camera features are similar to those seen on the 8 Pro. The company also launched a smart bulb, supporting 16 million colours, in two variants — 9W priced at Rs 799 and 12W at Rs 999.
