The major highlights of the Oppo Enco Buds earbuds are that it is equipped with AAC (Advanced Audio Coding) for high-definition wireless audio transmission protocol and offer an 80ms super-low latency Game Mode as well and it can offer up to 24 hours of battery life. The newly launched earphones are rated for IP54 for dust and water resistance.
In terms of design, well, the earphones come in a capsule-looking case and a small indicator light with a USB Type-C port. The Oppo Enco Buds are small, comfortable, and look decent on your ears. I liked the design of the device because it is very lightweight - each bud weighs 4grams, while the charging case weighs 37grams. In the box, you get ergonomically designed, swappable ear tips in three sizes to provide a snug fit with maximum comfort and optimal noise isolation.
For connectivity, the Oppo Enco Buds use Bluetooth 5.2, with support for the SBC and AAC Bluetooth codecs. The Oppo Enco Buds connects and automatically pair with the connected device on opening the lid. I used these Oppo Enco Buds earbuds on Android and on MacBook Air. The Oppo Enco Buds is compatible with both iOS and Android devices, but it worked best with Oppo and other android smartphones.
The Enco Buds' uses Bluetooth 5.2 that allows users to be 10 meters away from their phone while they listen to music or make a phone call. Additionally, the Bluetooth 5.2 chipset supports binaural low-latency transmission. Enco Buds come with a super-low 80ms-latency Game Mode that improves audio-visual sync in twitch-action games; users just need to triple-tap the earbuds to activate this mode.
With instant connection technology, the earbuds immediately connect to the device as soon as they’re picked out of the case, making the pairing ever so convenient and time-saving. They come with intuitive, smart touch controls to pause your music, switch between songs, and adjust the volume. You can also set up customized touch controls on their smartphones using the Hey Melody App for complete, natural control over their audio experience. Also, there is no active noise cancellation (ANC) on the Oppo Enco Buds but passive noise isolation was good.
To ensure crystal-clear phone calls, these TWS supports an AI-based intelligent call noise-cancellation feature that can differentiate between ambient sounds and human voices to effectively block out background noises, while you are on phone calls. Coming to the listening experience and performance, the overall experience was good. I was listening to the 'Toxic' song by AP Dhillon on repeat mode and watched web series including Spring Nights on Netflix on the Oppo Enco Buds. I really liked the music while using these buds and the overall experience was decent. While taking calls or watch movies for long hours and playing games such as Garena Free Fire and Battlegrounds Mobile India, I felt that audio performance was up to the mark.
In terms of battery performance, Oppo Enco Buds offers up to eight hours of use on a single charge and gets up to 24 hours of total playback time. With a massive 400 mAh battery, the case supports Type-C fast charging and can quickly charge the case and earpieces. Overall, Oppo Enco Buds provided a good day-long total battery life. Also, the earbuds didn't take much to get fully charged.
Oppo Enco Buds verdict: Priced at Rs 1,999, the Oppo Enco Buds are one of the decent budget earphones which come at affordable. The earbuds might be a decent choice for those who are looking to buy good and affordable earphones in the budget category.
