We used this earbud for almost 10 days and here are my views on the same. There's no doubt Jabra has done very well in recent times especially when we talk about Truly Wireless Stereo (TWS) earphones category in the Indian market. When it comes to the design, specifications, and features of the Jabra Elite 3, I felt that the Jabra Elite 3 is lighter, comfortable for your ears especially when we compare it with the rival brands. Both charging case and the earbuds look premium, beautiful in-ear design, is very light, easy-to-carry, and look amazing on the ears.
The earbuds ticked almost all the right boxes in the affordable TWS earphones category. For optimal on-the-go listening, the Elite 3 offers unique noise isolation whilst providing on-demand external noise pickup with HearThrough technology. Jabra Elite 3 is coming with IP55 rated rainproof protection plus a 2-year warranty. An IP55 rated product is protected against dust ingress.
Jabra Elite 3 has a decent build and it comes with an in-canal fit. The good thing about the earbuds is -- it is more angular to provide some isolation. The in-canal delivers decent passive noise isolation. The device is not coming with an active noise cancellation feature but honestly, without ANC, Jabra Elite 3 worked smoothly. Also, the buttons on the earphone are easy to press and make the control easy. The charging case is also very light and comfortable.
There is USB-C support so it makes it easy to charge the case using any mobile cable. The Jabra Elite 3 also offers Bluetooth 5.2 support. For connectivity, you can download the free Jabra Sound+ app (iOS and Android) to bring a few additional features, and it’s helpful during the initial pairing process. Sound+ is very easy to use and the app also brings Spotify integration, the ability to set your voice assistant to Alexa instead of whatever’s built-in on your Android phone.
While using the Jabra Elite 3, you will experience a next-level listening experience. For optimal on-the-go listening, the Elite 3 offers unique noise isolation whilst providing on-demand external noise pickup with HearThrough technology. whether you're in the metro or in a market, you will enjoy the music, the audio performance was very impressive. During the review, I really liked the music and the overall experience was excellent. While receiving calls, watching web series on the OTT platforms for long hours, and playing games including Battlegrounds Mobile India, I witnessed powerful audio performance here.
Also, while listening to my favorite songs on repeat mode, including 'Space Song' by Beach House, 'O Sanam' by Lucky Ali, 'Apocalypse' from Cigarettes After Sex band, and many more, I honestly loved the performance of Jabra Elite 3 here. The earbuds support AptX and SBC Bluetooth codecs but not AAC so Apple iPhones users may not get the best out of this device, that's why I'll recommend Android smartphones here. Thanks to the latest digital signal processing and pioneering beamform technology, this Jabra earbuds offer great call quality and play music while staying connected.
In terms of battery performance, the Jabra Elite 3 offers decent battery life of up to seven hours during regular usage on a single charge. You can charge the earphones 3-4 times using the charging case so you get more than 26 hours of battery time easily. The charging case doesn’t support wireless charging but fast charging is available. In just 10 minutes, you will get an hour of battery time on the Elite 3 buds.
Jabra Elite 3 verdict: Available at Rs 6,999, the Jabra Elite 3 is an amazing and powerful device that comes in the affordable category. From audio to battery performance, this device has ticked almost all the right boxes. The earbuds can be a decent choice for those who are looking to buy value-for-money earphones.
