Google Pixel 9: Tech giant Google has teased the launch of its upcoming Pixel 9 series smartphones at the ‘Made by Google’ event. The global launch of the Pixel 9 series will take place at the event scheduled for August 13 at 10 AM PT (10.30 PM IST).

Google is also expected to introduce next-generation artificial intelligence features of its smartphone range as well as share an update on the Android 15 operating system. Additionally, the American company is also anticipated to announce next-generation ecosystem devices in the form of Pixel Watch and Pixel Buds.

Alongside, there is also the possibility of Google introducing its next-generation foldable device as well. On the whole, the Made by Google event is expected to be packed with a host of huge announcements.

What to expect at Made by Google event?

Google has already confirmed that the launch of the Pixel 9 series smartphones will take the centre stage at the event. A teaser video shared by the company shows the silhouettes of the upcoming smartphones which are expected to come with a flat frame design with a floating island style rear camera bump.

It is also anticipated that Google could introduce more than two smartphones in the Pixel 9 series this year. Alongside the standard Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro, the series may also be joined by the Pixel 9 Pro XL and the Pixel 9 Pro Fold phone.

The caption of the teaser video reads “Get Ready for Magic at Made by Google”, suggesting that the company could bring to Pixel 9 series some of the Gemini AI powered features that were showcased at the Google I/O developers conference earlier in the year. It is likely that Google may bring features like spam call detection using on-device AI processing, Gemini Live and more with the Pixel 9 series smartphones.

The Made by Google event is an in-person event scheduled for August 13. The event will also be live streamed online to reach a global audience. The event will start at 10.30 PM IST and audiences can catch it live on Google’s official YouTube channel.
