When Google delayed the India launch of Pixel 4a, questions were raised around its hardware strategy for India as well as the success of the smartphone in the country. As it turns out, the new Pixel 4a has proved most of them wrong. The smartphone went on sale for the first time at midnight as part of the Flipkart Big Billion Days Sale and was sold out within 30 minutes.

The smartphone was priced at a special launch offering of Rs 29,999 against the MRP of Rs 31,999. Google said that it is working to bring more devices in India as quickly as possible, and will share updates on stocks as soon as it is available.  

On purchase of Google Pixel 4a, the company is offering complimentary access to photography lessons from experts, worth Rs 7,999 on pixel.getpepped.com. Pixel 4a users also get three-month complimentary trials of YouTube Premium and Google One. 

The Google Pixel 4a comes with a 5.81-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080x2340 pixels at a pixel density of 443 pixels per inch (ppi) and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. Google Pixel 4a is powered by a 1.8GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G processor. The smartphone comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.  The Google Pixel 4a runs Android 10 and is powered by a 3140mAh non-removable battery. It supports proprietary fast charging.   

On Friday, Google Nest Audio smart speaker will go on sale in India for the first time at a launch price of Rs 6,999 against the MRP of Rs 7,999. Nest Audio users will receive ad-free music streaming from Gaana until 31st March 2021.  

It is 75 percent louder and has 50 percent stronger bass than the original Google Home. This smart speaker uses a 19mm tweeter for consistent high-frequency coverage and clear vocals, and a 75mm mid-woofer for the bass.
