Apple September launch event 2022: In good news for iPhone lovers around the world, a new report has now claimed that  Apple`s upcoming iPhone 14 lineup may come with its long-rumoured satellite communication feature that is likely to be used in emergency situations for texting or voice services. The Cupertino-based tech giant is ready host its Far Out event on September 7 where it will reveal latest iPhones -- Apple iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Max, iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Pro Max,  Apple Watches and other products. This will be an in-person event at Apple's Cupertino campus in the US. Apple is also streaming the launch event online.

Apple iPhone 14 satellite communication

The MacRumors report said: "According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, satellite communication is one of iPhone 14`s test items before mass production, and Apple had completed hardware tests for this feature. iPhone 14`s satellite communication mainly provides emergency texting and voice services. The tech giant had already completed the hardware development of satellite communication in the iPhone 13. However, the report mentioned that the lack of support was because the business model had not been negotiated. He also mentioned that the operator most likely to partner with Apple for satellite communication is Globalstar.

Apple iPhone 14 India production

The next-generation iPhone 14, to be produced in India around two months after its China production, will see four models -- a 6.1-inch iPhone 14, a new 6.7-inch iPhone 14, a 6.1-inch iPhone 14 Pro and and a 6.7 iPhone 14 Pro Max, according to reports.

Apple iPhone 14 price (expected)

Apple iPhone 14 is likely to be priced below Rs 80,000 in India for the basic variant. MacRumors report said that Apple iPhone 14 Pro will be $1,099 (around Rs 87,838.12) whereas the iPhone 14 Pro Max will cost $1,199 (around Rs 95,830.67). However, the price of the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will rise to $1099 and $1199, respectively, due to increased component costs and Apple's drive to separate Pro and non-Pro iPhones.

Apple iPhone 14 sale and pre-booking (expected)

The iPhone 14 Series will be made available for pre-booking from September 9. At the same time, the sale of this series will start on September 16, the report added. In terms of specifications,  the iPhone Pro models will be powered by the A16 Bionic chipset and the non-Pro models will retain the A15 chip.
