If you have been planning to buy the Apple iPhone XR, you should hurry up, or just drop the idea, because soon, you may find it unavailable on most e-commerce websites. Launched in 2018, the smartphone was considered to be a value for money proposition for the last couple of years. This was the reason why Apple managed to sell the smartphone at high rate. But, with the launch of Apple iPhone 11 last year, the customers had a better smartphone for slightly more money.

Battery life and dual cameras are the solid reasons to buy the iPhone 11 over the iPhone XR.

This year, Apple plans to release four new iPhone models, including a 5.4-inch iPhone 12, a 6.1-inch iPhone 12 Max, a 6.1-inch iPhone 12 Pro, and a 6.7-inch iPhone 12 Pro Max. Going by Apple’s recent decisions, all these smartphones could be priced quite aggressively which will only increase the competition for older models.

Also, Apple is known for bringing down the price of its previous smartphones with the launch of new ones. This will make the iPhone 11 even more attractive option.

However, there is no official confirmation from Apple about the discontinuation of the iPhone XR. But if it decides to do so, this won’t be the first time when Apple will be taking a decision like this. In the past, the iPhone X was discontinued immediately after the iPhone XS made its debut.

Meanwhile, a leak suggests that the new iPhones can come with 60Hz display. While the company is believed to be ready with the 120Hz displays, Apple can’t seem to find driver ICs to drive the pixel at 120Hz. Instead of waiting for these ICs, the company will reportedly debut the new smartphone with a 60Hz display.
