Apple iPhone 14 vs iPhone 13: The US-based tech giant is ready to launch its latest iPhone 14 series today at Apple Far Out event in Cupertino, California at 10:30 PM (IST). According a MacRumors, the ‌iPhone 13‌ and ‌iPhone 14‌ are expected to share a large number of key features, such as display size, 5G connectivity, and Wide camera specifications. These features are also likely to remain the same: OLED Super Retina XDR display with HDR, True Tone, P3 wide color, Haptic Touch, and 800 nits max brightness (typical), Face ID, A15 Bionic chip, Dual SIM (nano-SIM and eSIM) and dual eSIM support ƒ/1.6 Wide rear camera, photography features including Night mode, Deep Fusion, True Tone flash with Slow Sync, Portrait mode, Smart HDR 4, Photographic Styles, and more.

Videography features including 4K video recording at up to 60fps, HDR video recording up to 4K at 60fps, HDR video recording with Dolby Vision, Audio zoom, slo-mo video up to 240fps at 1080p, Night mode Time-lapse, and more. Cinematic mode video recording with shallow depth of field (1080p at 30 fps), Ceramic Shield front, IP68 rated splash, water, and dust resistance, Aerospace-grade aluminum, MagSafe and Qi wireless charging, Lightning connector, the MacRumors reported. 

As per the report, both the ‌iPhone 13‌ and ‌iPhone 14‌ are expected to have the same industrial design with squared-off edges, a flat aluminum band around the sides, and horizontally offset rear cameras. The devices will likely use the same aerospace-grade aluminum on the edges and a single piece of polished glass on the rear.

According to a report from MacRumors, the iPhone 14 starting price is likely to be around Rs 79,99 for base model in India. On the  hand, the vanilla variant of current iPhone 13 series - iPhone 13 is available at Rs 72,990 in the country.

MacRumors report said that the upcoming iPhone 14 will be equipped with the iPhone 13 Pro`s higher-end A15 chip with a five-core GPU for up to 25 per cent faster graphics performance. In the standard iPhone 13 models, the A15 chip has a four-core GPU. Also, Apple iPhone 14 is likely to drop physical SIM cards in favour of eSIM. However, it is uncertain  if Apple will b completely removing the SIM slots in iPhone 14 or follow a smooth transition by keeping both eSIM and physical SIM in the phone like the iPhone 13.

For the first time, iPhone 14 is said to have a satellite connectivity feature, that allows users to directly connect to an overhead satellite and act as a satellite phone. This feature will come handy for sending distress messages during emergencies in no network coverage area.
