Apple iOS 14.6 update download: Good news from Apple users across the globe, the Cupertino-based tech giant has rolled out iOS 14.6, iPadOS 14.6, watchOS 7.5, macOS Big Sur 11.4, and tvOS 14.6 updates ahead of WWDC 2021 event. Apple's latest iOS 14.6 updates will allow Apple Music subscribers to enable lossless audio or Dolby Atmos once it is available.

Most of these software updates are here to fix some of the bugs and issues reported by users. The new update iOS 14.6 also lays the groundwork for Apple Podcasts Subscriptions. Podcasts users can now subscribe to content in the app for extra perks like ad-free and bonus content, as well as early access, the news agency IANS reported.

Apple is also improving the Podcasts app with the ability to mark all episodes as played, recover old episodes and remove downloads. iOS 14.6 includes a number of other quality-of-life improvements. If you're an AirTag owner, iOS 14.6 includes the option to add an email address as a contact method for when the item tracker is in lost mode.

There's also Apple Card Family sharing, with support for up to five people to share an Apple Card for purchases.

The company has also fixed an issue with the Apple Watch not unlocking an iPhone correctly, problems with reminders as blank lines, call blocking extensions not appearing in settings, reduced iPhone performance during startup, and Bluetooth issues during calls.

To install iOS 14.6, iPadOS 14.6 on your iPhone, iPad, users must open the Settings app on your iPhone/iPad. Then head over to General > Software Update. Tap on Download & Install option, which will be available right below the update information. Once downloaded, Tap on the install option, which will restart your device and boot you into the new operating system version.

Meanwhile, Apple has announced the schedule of its Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) event which will commence on June 7. The annual conference will announce the latest software and technologies from Apple.

The WWDC 2021 event will kick off with a keynote on June 7 at 10 AM PT (10:30 PM IST). The main keynote will be streamed online via Apple.com, Apple TV app, Apple Developer app, and YouTube as well due to the ongoing pandemic.
