Sennheiser expands Ambeo series with launch of Soundbar Plus, Sub in India

Sennheiser has added two new devices to its Ambeo Soundbar series - the Soundbar Plus and the Sub. These devices aim to provide consumers with more options for an immersive sound experience within the comforts of their homes. According to the company, this device is the world's first 7.1.4 standalone soundbar.

Building upon the success of the acclaimed Ambeo Soundbar Max, the Plus version brings the same 3D sound, developed in collaboration with the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits (IIS). The Ambeo Soundbar Plus offers Ambeo Self-Calibration to create a virtual speaker setup that envelops listeners in sound from all directions, simulating a movie theater atmosphere without the hassle of extra cables or satellite speakers. 

This compact soundbar also adapts its sound to the content being played, ensuring an optimal experience for audiophile-grade music and customizable presets.

The Ambeo Soundbar Plus offers compatibility with advanced sound technologies like Dolby ATMOS, DTS:X, 360 Reality Audio, and MPEG-H audio. It has the capability to upmix stereo and 5.1 content into a captivating 3D sound. The soundbar utilizes the Ambeo|OS platform, enabling integration with various music streaming services and virtual assistants such as Apple AirPlay 2, Spotify Connect, Google Assistant, Alexa built-in, and Apple Siri 

Features of Ambeo Sub:

Ambeo Sub offers an immersive bass experience. The subwoofer features an 8-inch high-end proprietary woofer and a 350W Class-D amplifier, that gives thunderous bass. The Ambeo Sub's advanced self-calibration, combined with its far-field microphone, fine-tunes its acoustics to suit any environment. Its multi-sub array technology allows users to connect up to four subwoofers, scaling bass performance and optimizing sound.
