Nikon set to launch new Z6III camera: Check key features, price, availability
The Z6III is expected to adopt a host of latest technologies including a partially-stacked CMOS sensor, which allows for 3.5x faster than the previous generation.
Nikon India has introduced the Z6III, its new high-performance Hybrid camera model inheriting the features of the Z9 and Z8, in the full-frame mid-range class.
Key features of Nikon Z6III
The Z6III is expected to adopt a host of latest technologies including a partially-stacked CMOS sensor, which allows for 3.5x faster than the previous generation. The camera would also provide an additional option of shooting at 60 fps in FX format. It is supposed to be enhanced with a bright, high-res EVF of 4000 cd/m2 and 5760k dots with a wide colour gamut, making it easier to follow fast-moving subjects.
In terms of video production, the latest Nikon model would allow 6K, 5.4K and Full HD/240p for up to 10x slow-motion video creation. Other than the wedding and wildlife genre Z6III is also expected to be useful in shooting events such as live concerts and interviews.
To help with low-light conditions, Nikon’s latest model inherits the -10 EVAF detection range from the Z9 and Z8. The Z6III would offer superior AF performance, particularly in backlit scenes, with the capability to detect up to 9 types of subjects and enhanced focus efficiency on human faces.
The Z6III is also projected to suit the needs of photographers who capture landscapes and wildlife in winter. The latest Nikon model is a robust and cold-resistant camera which can be used in temperatures reaching -10 degrees Celsius.
Z6III can also work in tandem with Nikon's new cloud service, Nikon Imaging Cloud with support for new Imaging Recipes. The Z6III firmware can be updated without the need for a computer or a smart device, with images captured by the camera to be uploaded automatically to Nikon Imaging Cloud as soon as it connects via Wi-Fi and transferred to pre-configured third-party cloud storage services, making the storage and sharing of images even more convenient.
Availability and price
The Nikon Z6III camera body will be available by the end of June 2024 at Rs 2,47,990 (Body Only) across India at Nikon outlets.
