The Facebook-owned WhatsApp is one of the most popular instant messaging applications on the globe. The messaging platform allows you to personalize your chats by changing your wallpaper. You can change your wallpaper for all chats, or set a wallpaper for a specific chat. You can also choose wallpapers specific to dark or light modes, and dim your dark mode wallpaper.

To change the wallpaper for all chats - Follow these simple steps:
Open WhatsApp on your smartphone. Tap More options > Settings > Chats > Wallpaper. Alternatively, you can open a chat > tap More options > Wallpaper.
If you’re using dark mode, you can use the slider to dim your current wallpaper. Tap CHANGE. Select a wallpaper category, then select the image you want to set as your wallpaper. You can also tap Default Wallpaper to restore WhatsApp’s default wallpaper. Tap SET WALLPAPER.
To Change wallpaper for a specific chat:
Open the chat you want to change the wallpaper for. Tap More options > Wallpaper. If you’re using dark mode, you can use the slider to dim your current wallpaper.
Select a wallpaper category, then select the image you want to set as your wallpaper. You can also tap Default Wallpaper to restore WhatsApps’s default wallpaper. Tap SET WALLPAPER.
Meanwhile, WhatsApp is working on two new features that might allow users to send images and videos in ‘best quality. WABetaInfo reported that the two features are currently in development for the Android app and should eventually present three quality options when sending images and videos. The options are ‘Auto', ‘Best quality' or ‘Data saver'.
